In my research about Digital Cameras in general and the Coolpix P90 by NIKON in particular, I have discovered quite some interesting additional points and conclusive material. . . especially as concerns the super zoom which intrigued me immediately, considering this P90 camera being surprisingly light.

Obviously, getting a superzoom camera while  at the same time avoiding the size and weight (… and cost!) that a DSLR with a large zoom lens would entail, appeals to me. However, the results are not as compelling - and I have to weigh how far I can go considering the fact that I focus on material I need for my Artwork on Photoshop etc… where speed and flexibility are of the essence.

Meanwhile, we’ve checked our climb towards Google Top 10 … and while we were on spot 30 this morning, we’ve made it to spot 18 by now - and this on 1,270 MILLION search returns - thanks to the finetuning of the Semiomantics Scripts… and the result from our Ycademy Seminar Trainings! Digital Photography

Today there is no Advertising and Marketing via the Internet without Digital Photography - at least as a point de depart, a starting point. If involved in that Media one has to be properly equipped… and while I have always been passionate about photography - especially Black and White Photography - right from being a little girl and watching my mother take extremely expressive and evocative pictures with her simple little ‘black box’… to having my first camera and spending hours in Nature to get the right shot… to working with professional Advertising Photographers in Europe (Stills, Foods, Fashion)… andeventually integrating Photography in my own professional work … and yes, I remember the debates, heated discussions and fierce intellectual struggles as to whether or not this medium IS to be considered as ‘Art’… and seeing a highly talented classmate evolve into the highest paid living Artistic Photographer in the world ($1 million for one photo - Andreas Gursky)… to this day, where I’m on my way to find a Digital Camera that fits my specific personal purposes, meaning that it delivers the material I need for my Digital Art and Web Graphics.

I’ve been looking for a while and the market is simply phenomenal. . . However, my choice has eventually narrowed down and currently I am investigating the new Coolpix P90 by NIKON.

Not surprisingly, the only real highlight at the renowned Cannes Lions 2009 Advertising Festival in France… besides the significance of China as an emerging market and the promotion of “green” technologies… was without any question Digital Advertising Online.

In a year that is expected to be problematic and financially critical by many experts - with the global advertising market to fall by 6.9 % -, the prognosis for Digital Advertising is brilliant:  a whopping 8.6%  growth… depending to a large extent on developments in China.

Digital Spending to ’stay strong’

When questioned about the impact of the recession in the US,  Google CEO Eric Schmidt said he was optimistic for 2010 and that digital spending would stay strong.

If we think that an industry giant like McDonald’s spends on average 7% on digital advertising - and this with a rising tendency - this reflects on the opportunity for online marketers and business entrepreneurs to grab a piece of the advertising market share to earn a living from in the future.

Advertising - offline and online - always had to be ahead of trends if not setting them. Whoever has listened to last night’s InfoCall with Yorgo Nestoridis in yorGOtalk must finally come to the conclusion that the time invested over the rather difficult period of the past two years in terms of learning and applying highly complex technical matter such as coding etc  (…that was for sure not everyone’s cup of tea, mine neither… ) - that all this time spent NOT infront of the TV, NOT on the beach and NOT in the pub BUT listening to Calls and attending the monthly Ycademy Online Business Building Seminars… was all worth it in view of the future changes and approaches by Google… in case the belief up till then was a little shaky.

About Scripts

Scripts don’t equal Scripts; here as in everything of value in Life - and especially in your Online Business and income generating endeavours - you need to make a precise plan, you need to allocate a realistic time frame and budget, and accordingly, you need to make a choice.

Yesterday’s official opening of the brand-new modern “Acropolis Museum” in Athens, Greece, has sparked new emotions about the significance of  ‘permitted looting’, which in my view belongs to the Past… whether it was about stealing an obelisk in Luxor, the “Elgin Marbles” in Athens or the incredibly beautiful stone and lava jewels when the earth shifted in Madagascar around 2000 (…this I could observe with my own eyes…) - it’s a total exploitation of ourselves; a looting of our own positive energies - and therefore a double loss: for those who see part of themselves go and for the stealing entity who is so unaware of what he invites.

This could become a discourse on many matters especially of ecologic nature… and in a way it should as it all has to do with our Environment and the attempt of many to cleanse and heal it, and as we are so unable or unwilling to do so, Nature itself will teach us a number of lessons still to come.

Today, we should focus on REAL evolutionary thinking and the corresponding Spirit and Attitude that inseparably go with it. Never the Knowledge and the possibility to attain it have been so available, so open and so present.

However, the path is not to be found ‘outside’ where most of us are looking and looting; the path lies within us.

The New Akropolis Museum in itself is just another significant signpost, a token, a semiomantic context… stimulating us on our individual journeys to evolve into who we truly are.

Athens finally has its new modern Akropolis Museum for its vast collection of sculptures and artifacts from ancient Greece. The $200 million building of glass and concrete is situated on the South Eastern slope of the Acropolis hill, on that ancient road that led up to the “sacred rock” in classical times… and that was closed to me when I visited this majestic site almost exactly 5 years ago, just before the Olympic Games opened in the city they belong to!

Realizing this cherished brainchild of Konstantinos Karamanlis and Melina Merkouri - who was the first to suggest that the Elgin Marbles be renamed ‘The Parthenon Marbles’ - was a long journey

The international competition was initially launched in 1989 - and eventually the design of currently New York-based Swiss architect Bernard Tschumi - in collaboration with Greek architect Michael Photiadis - was selected as the winning project.

In his architectural concept, Tschumi concentrated on “… light, movement (circulation), and a tectonic and programmatic element, which together turn the constraints of the site into an architectural opportunity, offering a simple and precise museum” with the mathematical and conceptual clarity of ancient Greek buildings.”

Living at the end of the world with not much possibility nowadays to see the latest archtiectural master pieces as I used to in my years in Europe, I especially enjoyed this 3D journey through the model, which shows strict adherence to the concept :

Clearly. . . this is the ONLY place where the “Parthenon Marbles” belong.

When do we wake up and understand the. . .  WHOLE. . . and its vibration?
