Give your Immune System a Boost

“You are as young as you feel” implies that to feel good, energetic and healthy we need to see to it that we feel good – and once we’ve collided with our sixties, the kids are grown-up and living their own lives, and our so-called ‘golden years’ approach… the ones we’ve waited for and worked for and deserve… even today where the world has so dramatically changed… well, now it’s time to take care of ourselves.

Ideally, you started doing so before, like the above ladies in China who started dancing Ballet at the age of 50 to 62… without any ballet dancing experience… unbelievable, amazing, inspiring and… true! However, this is by far not always the case, and if this sounds like YOU, NOW is the time!

You may well have a positive attitude and negate the ageing process alltogether, but the fact is that as we age, the body’s immune system becomes weaker and it needs a boost.

About the Immune System

A healthy Immune System with healthy lymphocytes – essential to the body’s production of anti-bodies -, protects us against the so-called ‘free radicals’, infections and all kinds of health problems.

However, as the body ages, it becomes weaker and  loses its natural ability to fight off health problems – especially in a highly charged environment with industrial pollution, smoke, extreme weather conditions, radiation etc.

Besides, as we age our central nervous system loses its sensitivity to the danger signals. It means that it reacts slower if at all. The result is that this ‘automatic response system’ we took for granted all these years whenever the body was attacked… immediately broke into a fever to fight back and kill off the ‘intruders’ allowing us to recover speedily – well, this brilliant infection-fighting terminator system no longer functions as efficiently as it did.

On top of it all we even produce auto antibodies, that attack parts of our body instead of fighting infections – example:  fibromyalgia. And there’s more…
