The next Ycademy Business Building Seminar – to be held on 28 and 29 March 2009 - invites all participants to create their own Newspaper on the very Google efficient Semiomantics Script developed by Yorgo Nestoridis – in my case:

While I have always been active on this Blog, it went down with the recent server problems – and was miraculously resurrected a few days ago! Chapeau!
It’s also important to bear in mind that this Blog will at the same time be the Post Editor for any additional Newspapers some participants may create in the future – in case they think a bit bigger as to their Newspaper ambitions. It also means a lot more investment in terms of time and money.
But for now the focus is on one Newspaper and the Seminar will familiarize everybody with Editing techniques in the first place. The editing process can only take place if there’s material to be edited – ORIGINAL CONTENT that is. This is a REAL publication in your name, something you want to be proud of and continue developing as one of your major online publishing arms. it’s a fabulous chance to continue your Authority building process while generating Online Income!
However, it is crucial that you invest your time and money into something you enjoy, something that makes sense in terms of keywords, something that is of great value to you and that you wish to continue and expand as part of your online business building process. If not too sure about your theme, do dig into your “Secret Garden” to ensure you find a topic you are passionate and/or knowledgeable about and that serves your overall Purpose.
Then do a thorough keyword research! Is there any interest out there, are there any searches from people looking for that topic? Are there advertisers? Who is your competition? Do some research… and you will find new avenues that inspire you in directions you might not even have thought of…
While some participants will just integrate what they’ve been doing in their ‘normal’ business life anyway for the past 100 years… it may take some serious soul searching for those who just want to do something ‘different’ on the web. There’s however noone who can do this job for you… and while we can discuss the pro’s and con’s… you have to be happy about your choice and develop your plan and strategies from there.
Once you have decided what your Newspaper should be about, you want to think about who your target audience should be? In case of a Family Newspaper it’s very easy. In case of a Tax Filing Newspaper it’s easy… so think about who YOU are writing for, collecting material and pictures for, which READERSHIP you would like to attract!
Then choose a TITLE and a TAGLINE.
In my case I stay in line with what I’ve been doing in various ways of expression throughout my life – be it as an artist, a writer or a filmmaker – and that gives me a lot of flexibility to dive into all the many areas I am passionate and a little knowledgeable about: COMMUNICATION.
As many know, I’ve written quite a comprehensive book on ONLINE COMMUNICATION in 2008, that is in the process of being updated … everything just changes so fast on the Internet … and will then be published.
While this book focuses on Online Communication, I will include different Categories in the Newspaper that will attract different audiences… you will see!
My main interest will be to build a loyal Readership… but I am very excited about the prospect of finding some co-authors for specific categories – for instance on Animal Communication and how we communicate via our senses: vision, gustation (taste), olfaction (smell), auditory (hearing) and somatosensation. . . plus what might be called the “sixth sense” and seems wildly interesting to me as well as inspiring to create some graphics and pictures… Hey! I could be carried away with all that. . . the more I think about it.
And finally, think about the Monetization of your Newspaper! Do you create your Newspaper to build a readership – or to make money? Or a combination of both? Again easier for those who just extend their normal business into an online publication with defined existing products or services to sell – however, we all have something to offer as YORGOO Members – Free Traffic and Free Leads, Hosting, Semiomantics Scripts, YORGOO Blasters – and many have Affiliations with suppliers or are members of an MLM! Just make a list of everything and then include it into the rooster-plan we supplied for easier understanding and preparation! Just check out the various Newspaper models set up so far to get the idea… and start preparing and collecting – original content, authorized feeds, PLR’s to edit, pictures (500 pix wide minimum) – always honour copyrights.
