Livinrural or Rural Style
Cape Town, 21 April 2009 – by Bianca Gubalke
What I have in common with Brenda Baker from New Zealand is more than the Southern Hemisphere: it’s living a bit at the end of the world and loving it: the Nature, the Self-Sufficiency and the “doing of things in a simple but efficient way” – very well expressed in the Title Brenda Baker chose for her first online Newspaper:
Livinrural… with a tagline called “Rural Style”.
Interestingly, the title keywords initially were “Livinrural Country Livin” - and that’s what I designed the Web Graphics for, focusing on the main keyword we all associate with Brenda Bake: “Livinrural”. . . which includes her summer activities focusing on growing freesia bulbs and her sewing and knitting in winter. . . all of which she packaged into an ebook to show people how to bring their offline activities and crafts to the Internet and turn it all into a profitable business… a Working from Home Business on the Internet. Even in New Zealand :)
I assume Brenda has done some keyword research in the meantime and found reasons to change towards the “rural style”… which still stays sort of in the countryside, but may produce totally different keyword results… better results for her targeting… closer to her audience and future readership?
Now it’s a matter of sticking to it and writing good original content as an Author adding to this sharp pictures and occasional videos – which I am sure Brenda will work on now that the summer is over and we start burning the fires again. Then she needs to change her hat and think and act as a Publisher of her own Online Newspaper!
So let’s celebrate the rural style by combining the summer and the winter work and create a new hat for Brenda Baker – just for the fun of it and to celebrate “Livinrural” :
Lots of Kia Ora Inspiration and Good Luck Brenda!
