Ycademy Microsoft Office 2010 Beta
True to our mission of always being ahead of developments on the Internet and learning and teaching latest technologies, this month’s Ycademy Business Building Seminar will not only focus on Microsoft Office… but the latest, the hottest and the most exciting brand-new release of Microsoft Office 2010 Beta.
While I will be looking into the Contents step-by-step in future articles and as I acquaint myself with the different features and programs, here’s a bit of an introduction as to what Microsoft Office 2010 Beta is all about and why we at Ycademy embrace it on our “Path to Profitability”.
Ycademy Microsoft Office 2010 Beta
While all Ycademy Seminar participants are already equipped with Microsoft Office 2007, they are encouraged to upgrade to the next version, Microsoft Office 2010 Beta, to explore and use this exciting Productivity Suite for Microsoft Windows, code-named “Office 14″. This integrates perfectly with our Windows 7, although – for the very first time – a 64-bit version of Office will be available (for Vista and WIN 7 operating systems).
The public release of Office 2010 is expected to be around June 2010.
New Microsoft Free Online
What’s totally New is that Microsoft Office 2010 will offer Free Online versions of:
- Word
- PowerPoint
- Excel
- OneNote
We will be operating through our usual browsers.
Microsoft Office Mobile 2010
With the worldwide trend of going mobile – that we see well illustrated in our Semiomantics Consulting Project Global Sports – , Microsoft will continue to be a leader in mobile productivity with Microsoft Office Mobile 2010.
Here are some of its new features according to the official report on Wiki:
- Presentation Companion: The add-on to PowerPoint Mobile allows users to control a presentation through their Windows Phone and display speaker notes.
- Conversation View: Outlook Mobile will thread related emails into a group for easier reading and management
- SharePoint Workspace Mobile: The new application will allow users to sync documents from SharePoint servers directly to their Windows Phone for offline viewing and editing.
- Support for new content in Office 2010 such as SmartArt graphics and charts.
Microsoft Office 2010 goes Social
What also came through in last night’s Ycademy Workshop is that Microsoft Office 2010 goes Social, meaning it will provide features so its users can communicate and connect more easily on a social level, eg. with Social Networks. This isn’t surprising as money is only being made where the crowds are – and this is definitely on Google and on Social Networks, genre Facebook, YouTube and others. And that’s what Internet Marketers have to target if they want their Business to succeed.
Smart Move!
Time is accelerating tremendously, people are on a constant run – in fact, they ARE the run and I see them literally vaporating in speed… and definitely: Online Communication will never be the same!
