Planning my online Newspaper
As YORGOO Press will be adapted to the changed Internet environment, it gives us time to reflect on some changes we might want to implement, given the fact that we have evolved in terms of knowledge and skills as well as our presence online. Also, our products and services are more defined today than they were when we started our Online Newspaper – in my case TouchVisionTalk – a few years ago.
When re-evaluating and planning my online Newspaper, I first think about its structural layout from a content point of view – here is Phase 1:
Planning my online Newspaper
When Planning my online Newspaper for its “renaissance”, I will keep the domain name “Touch Vision Talk” as it describes what my Newspaper is all about: to touch people and communicate, to offer great media content in form of images, photography, web graphics and video… in short: everything that appeals to our sense of Vision – and also in a literal sense as our online work and productivity always has to do with Vision… and I want to feature my customers, meaning to talk about their websites, products, services, the evolution of our cooperation, the exciting highlights and the personalities behind it all – be it in Tourism, the Environment, Cars and more.
Structural Layout of my Online Newspaper
As you see on the above graphic, I will feed the five main categories from my Author Blog – biancagubalke.com – into my YORGOO Press Aggregator, bearing in mind that Stock Photography is a category that will grow in the future firstly due to my productivity in digital photography and secondly to our brand-new Photo Media Stock website.
Also, as I live and ‘produce’ everything in South Africa and I have valuable clients down here, a South African flair will give it a special touch and make it unique. I considered for a while including it in the slogan, but then preferred the one you see here… although “semantic” mays still change into something else… I have some variations in mind.
As YORGOO Press offers a picture gallery, this is ideal to present pictures in small format – possibly in black and white or differently tones to avoid copyright infringements for the originals that will be sold on PhotoMediaStock. And obviously there is the Video Box…
A further 5 categories will be dedicated to feed streams from clients and friends who have interesting material to offer to my readership and who I want to promote as a ‘thank you’ for their trust.
Lastly, our new Online Newspaper offers us great ways to advertise our products – be it Web Design, Web Graphics, Publishing and Web Services or other – for which another 5 categories are reserved.
I am aware that some of the terminology has to be changed into a more user-oriented and keyword-friendly wording – but that comes next. First, it’s important to IMAGINE what such a Newspaper could look like, and for which audience… then find a structure … and from there change, adapt and complete… Ifffff there’s anything like completion on the Internet…:)
