Sunset in Noordhoek
As South Africa is moving towards summer, the sun slowly reappears behind Chapman’s Peak and we here in Noordhoek will see it sinking into the Atlantic Ocean right from our doorstep.
With the amazing showers we had yesterday – and today – here is a quick and untouched shot from my Studio window to capture the Sunset in Noordhoek… definitely one of the most spectacular moments of the day as it drifted into a dark night…

The sunset in Noordhoek South Africa is normally visible for us from mid November to mid February – after which it hides behind the high Table Mountain ranges. Many people love to spend the New Year’s Eve on the beach or on the mountains to meditate or just watch as the year dissolves with the last golden rays of the sinking sun… or to greet the New Year in the early morning. Although the notion of time only applies to our planetary system, it helps to root ourselves and flow with Nature and its elements… clearing what binds us in order to just… be.

With all the media and stock photography needed for Website Publishing – and with it our brand-new Photo Media Stock – keeping a keen photographer’s eye on what’s happening around us and worth ‘shooting’ must become a habit. Yesterday alone – with some mega documentary work on old and often faded photos – sometimes from articles in glossy magazines – for a new Semiomantics Evolution Project – I think I took over 400 photos; my back knows all about it!
