New Touch Vision Talk Newspaper

Loyal to the old format, the new “Touch Vision Talk” Newspaper keeps an elegant low key color code – black, white, nuances of grey and a dash of passionate red! My favorites since I started designing hardcover books in the early eighties! Something solid in there it seems… at least for me! Yeah… out of Africa we are… no wonder!

Website Design News

While I focussed more on Online Communication in the beginning – I shifted keyword-wise to Website Design… which obviously is Communication as well, but now it’s clear as that’s what I focus on in my profession.

Also, as we produce more and more media – meaning visuals in all forms and shapes – the reader has a clearer understanding of what “Touch Vision Talk” is all about and how it could benefit him or her in their individual online careers and in their ambitions to reach Google Top 10 rankings with captivating websites and blogs – tuned by Semiomantics with Semiomantics Web Design.

I have a weird error that has totally confused me… so my syndication of this post into my Newspaper Blog might shed some light where my little grey cells went into overkill or hibernation mode… no wonder with the storms and drizzles outside, no spring weather this is for a South African girl, born and bred – ek se!

Also, I should see many more posts under “Breaking News” and I don’t… which may be a cookie error… not on my PC but by my dear IP. This too shall pass. . .

And once I’m through the rest and no more headache, I may redesign my header logo. For the time being, I focus on basics and getting everything to work as it should.

To be continued as I proceed. . .

How to Grab Vegetable Garden Design Whether your plan is to target “Vegetable Garden Design” or any other keyword doesn’t matter; what matters is that you know exactly where your target audience is and what it types into Google to find what you have to offer. If say 1000 people search “Vegetable Garden Design” on Google every day and most people look at page 1, which contains 10 websites on the left (wait until Semiomantics sniffs this one out!) and some Google Ads on the right, you know where your website has to be – come hell or high water! Once you’ve decided that you don’t want to pay non-stop for Google Ads but to get to the top on the left side, then your next step is to invest in a smart domain name.
What started off a day ago as a lone experiment has turned into a schoolcase on “How to grab Vegetable Garden Design” – meaning how to reach Google Top 10 if that was my target, my ambition.

How to Grab Vegetable Garden Design

Whether your plan is to target “Vegetable Garden Design” or any other keyword doesn’t matter; what matters is that you know exactly where your target audience is and what it types into Google to find what you have to offer.

If you look at the screenshot below that shows the evolution of my little articles within just a few hours, then see that my website – which has absolutely nothing to do with vegetables etc – has one big minus if compared with the others: they all have their keywords somehow within their domain name! They are smart! It does help… so if hitting the top in the veggie biz was my main ambition, guess what I would do first thing?

No magic here; just common sense.

Small Vegetable Garden Design on Google

Let’s look at results: yesterday, shortly after the post was out, my keywords “Small Vegetable Garden Design” ranked on the top of page 4 on Google.

Today, we have reached page 2 and steadily climbing!

Semiomantics XO

What is truly astonishing is the fact that my Author Blog – on Semiomantics XO – did it all alone, meaning without the support of our major Publishing Network as that one was down.

As my initial experiment has now been taken up to demonstrate yet enother school case of the power of Semiomantics, keep an eye on developments and learn from what you can deduct.

Stay tuned… we just show by doing… there’s no hype, no exaggeration – just a step-by-step process with a sophisticated script and smart Editing and Online Publishing.

The best answer to “What are Applications” I just discovered on the Adobe Developer Center:

“…individual pieces of content made with Flash Professional are called applications (or SWF applications), even though they might only be a basic animation. You can make media-rich applications by including pictures, sound, video, and special effects.”

In view of the importance applications will have for us in our future development, we need to learn the terminology.

As we proceed with our Flash Workshops, I will continue to explain certain expressions that are assumed to be known by all… but if that’s not the case there can be a serious gap that hinders or blocks progress.

More at tonight’s Ycademy Workshop . . .

When looking at the various criteria we have to consider when developing an online presence or wanting to improve on what we created in the past – either for ourselves or for our customers -, we explained – under the Work Title “Working from Monkey Valley” – the first priority: making a one-time investment and getting a good Google Top 10 efficient Script, ideally a Semiomantics version (Semiomantics XO, NewsCast, YORGOO Blaster, YORGOO Booster…).

While there is ongoing Maintenance on any Website or Blog, a Semiomantics Script – once set up properly and fed regularly with well-edited and well-published content – will take care of Search Engine Optimization and much more. At the end of the day it saves you money.

The alternative are Google Ads – costly and only efficient if done on the right keywords and in the right daily density, meaning with a 24/242 visibility or almost.

Working from Monkey Valley on Google Top 10

To immediately make the point and proove both the statements and the SEO efficiency of Semiomantics, we tested our posts on this Blog here and we found entries on Google Top 10 – even a spot 6/10 on the fiercely defended search term “Monkey Valley Beach Nature Resort”. That’s what I call an amazing and unbeatable performance!

Now these were just tests to emphasize that Visibility on Google is our prime objective.

So what comes next on the priority list?

Web Design

The question is: what does someone who comes to our website or blog with an urgent need for something very precise actually see?

Is it what he is looking for? Right there, right then?

Is the Web Design attractive? Does it invite to stay and look for more?

Are there good pictures? A Video? A Gallery? A Slideshow? A Shop? A way to Comment and /or Subscribe?

Is the website or blog user-friendly with easy navigation….?

Does the Web Design trigger Empathy? Trust? Curiosity?

And then… if all those criteria are met and this within just a few seconds – here as anywhere first impressions count – is the relevant information quickly accessible and can the desired product be easily selected (if there’s a choice), and finally. . . bought? Ideally via a PayPal button plus possibly some alternatives?

The Look

I think one does not need to go much more into the Importance of Web Design – especially as it was – and still is - for many the most important element of any Website or Blog.

The Look is the Show!

Today, Web2.0 offers everybody fantastic tools and playgrounds for creativity. So there’s lively competition! The Internet Community finally has its own means to present and produce itself in any form and shape… and as close or as far from the ‘real’ reality as can be. . . as long as one is ‘in’! That’s the ‘trend’ … and we as business owners or developers have to accept this and adapt if we want to be competitive within a potential 3 billion market: today – more than ever – it’s all about “the Look”, “the Image”.

The “Brand” and with it the “recognizability” and “reputation” of a large Company represents a major percentage of its market value.

Therefore, with the Internet and its explosive growth as to Social Networks – like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace etc – being the largest and most accessible global platform for visibility, communication, exchange, conversation, ecommerce, online trading and sales, massive budgets are invested on an ongoing basis to keep building and improving the name and brand, to include both the company staff and customer base through interactive features to keep loyalty that ensures smooth internal operation and a never-ending sales stream… and augment it.

This is an ongoing process and it’s no different with individuals like you and me.

Web Design Costs

Everybody knows and accepts that “The Look” has its price: Web Design Costs.

Depending on whether we have to do with an already established Brand – with own logos, banners, colour scheme, fonts etc – or this has to be developed by the Web Designer, costs for the development and personalization of blogs in form of Customation Packs can vary from a couple of 100$ to tens of 1000′s of dollars – and this easily.

Time is Money.

Look at a website and you can tell the cost – it’s like with fashion, it’s all about the material, the quality, the originality, the style. . . and creating this means time… which converts to money for a crucial Service: Web Design.

And who wants to look like his neighbour? You want to express yourself, who you are, what you stand for, what you represent – you are SOMEONE!

All this equalization is not what people normally want; they want to stand out! They want to distinguish themselves from the rest of the world – and rightly so. It’s just a matter of means.

A Professional Online Image

To conclude:

When building a Professional Online Image, Brand and Profile that attracts, inspires Trust and converts Visibility into Cash going the extra mile for good Web design is a good Investment; it’s unquestionable, it’s a Must.

The hidden part of the Blog gives you Visibility on Google and opens you up to Traffic; the visible part attracts, transforms and converts.

But there is more to consider and this topic will soon be continued. . .

When working on my laptop at Monkey Valley Beach Nature Resort the other day, several people were intrigued by what I was doing. After seeing some of my Blogs, Graphic Design and activities on the Internet, most of them realized that having a website or blog of their own was something that had been on their mind for a while.

Of course the question is always:

Why do you want a Website?

The reasons vary.

A website just for Fun

There are individuals who want to have a website just for Fun. . . just to develop an online presence, have their name and pictures out there for family and friends to relate to and communicate with. For this there are free blog scripts available, for instance on WordPress… or they can do what most people do: build a profile in Social Networks, genre Facebook, Twitter and soon Google Wave.

While all this is so-to-speak ‘free’ – the fact is that it isn’t really. . . they are not in control of anything and they will be advertised to ad infinitum! Sooner or later they are in the loop and there’s no way out – except going off the Internet or… building an own website or blog.

Branding a Business Online

On the other hand, business-oriented people often have a website already – but they are not happy with its performance. They may be quite happy with the look and design that they believe is enough for Branding their Business Online, however, as their website or blog is meant to bring them visitors – meaning traffic, possible prospects, customers and eventually … sales – but it doesnt… something “doesn’t really work”.

The fact is – even the most attractive website or blog – if not visible on Google Top 10 – is invisible!

From here follows that what counts most when deciding to build a professional, business-oriented Website or Blog online is:

Visibility on Google

Visibility on Google depends on a good, search engine optimized script that performs well on Google Top 10 – a script like Semiomantics XO.

It’s all about Code and what happens in the invisible background, all a normal person doesn’t want to know of as it’s a science in itself, it’s complex, it’s really not easy and it’s changing and shifting each single day – and it definitely has a price.

Look at your competitors and you see what they invest to reach page one on Google and… stay there. There you have a quick and revelatory answer if you don’t make it to that hot spot with your website or blog yourself!

And ask yourself: what are you investing in being where you need to be? What are you ready to invest? What can you budget for? Daily, monthly and over the years? This is an ongoing battle! Don’t even think it’s done with one shot – that’s only the beginning!

But it’s also where you reach a maximum of people – and that’s what you need if you have something to offer or sell.

It’s all about visibility… so that if someone looking up for instance ‘Working from Monkey Valley’ immediately finds “Monkey Valley Beach Nature Resort” on Google Top 10. And this is the case right now and I am sure a price is being paid for this. . .

But also see where we landed with my 2 articles as a Team and Publishing Network, basically occupying 5/10 prime Google Top 10 spots in absolutely no time… here’s the proof:

The screenshots are more or less the same on Google.com and Google.co.za. . . and this is just another demonstration to make my point.

So if someone was looking up this key phrase there would be 5 on 10 chances he’d hit on our Publishing Network. That’s what counts!

Semiomantics or Google Ads

Alternatively, you need to invest in Google Ads on the right side.

But here’s the next hurdle: do you know which keywords to use?

No? Then invest in specialists as to Keyword Research – and budget 500$ a month to start with. . . companies pay 1000′s of $$$ here alone – never mind the daily budget for AdSense that follows. Do I hear your hair fall out? See, that’s why I am explaining this: there is a choice… time and/or money – that’s the game on planet earth!

So the choice here is to either invest in Semiomantics – or buy Google Ads… or combine both. Advertising has its price – but then if the clients stream in and sales result – that’s all it needs, isn’t it?

Say you get the money for your investment back with the profit on 2 sales or that extra car you sell – wouldn’t you be happy? And then another car sold… and another?

Oh yes! It pays – if done correctly – and it’s never ‘free’ – guaranteed! Not offline, not online – such is Life!

There’s more that we need to consider when deciding to build a Website or Blog or have it built for us; I will tell you about it tomorrow!

Following our various Workshops and Ycademy Seminars and as creating and then experimenting with Opaque as well as Transparent Backgrounds and combining them with exciting Fonts, I was inspired to attack my ‘oldest’ yet ‘goldest’ Blog, namely AuctiontalkLive.

New Web Design for Auctiontalk Live

Auctiontalk Live runs on a Semiomantics XO Script and has a history of success on Google Top 10 since its inception.

In my eyes… and as Media Marketing oriented, this Blog deserves the color blue in combination with gold to red. I decided not to squeeze in any other color – like green for instance, to keep to the symbolic RGB … or grey, which always brings in an additional touch of elegance – I kept it to 3 colours and am quite happy with the result so far.

Adding Fonts

I did struggle a bit with the font burner and put it into the deleted folder until I am back from my appointment later this afternoon… so I will pick it up from there and work on adding fonts for the headers. By then my eyes and my memory may have come back to reveal the secret of where on earth we uploaded the additional fonts on the server.

Any helpful comments would be appreciated :)

AdSense

I took off AdSense as well and will see how I can adapt the transparency of the background and the color of the Google Ads Fonts. They must integrate – or they must go!

To be continued. . .

Web Site Design

In our previous article we spoke about the Briefing Phase when Client (say an Agency or anyone who contracted you for the job at hand) and the Artist (say the Illustrator, Graphic Designer, Digital Artist etc) get together and the Client conveys what he expects from the Artist – and when. The Artist still has the choice to say ‘no’ if the Client doesn’t know what he wants, is unrealistic in expecting too much for too little money – brief, if no consensus can be reached.

Don’t mess up a good reputation with a bad job, rather say ‘no’ first… and find the next Web site Design Job!

Having said that, in our “Nutrinsider” example the case was clear and the next phase was the…

Web Graphics for “Nutrinsider”

After having gone through Phase 2 – Execution of the ‘Job’ (Web Graphics Design) – in the earlier article, here are the graphic design elements I had to create based on the colour scheme we had established together, namely :
BLUE 0000B3 and GREEN 28AE78.

1. The Background 2000 x 1000 pix (to personalize both Nutrinsider and Twitter Account)
2. 1 Ad 515 x 300 pix (Default Featured Category)
3. 1 Ad 300 x 250 pix
4. 2 Banners 468 x 60 pix
5. 3 Ads 125 x 125 pix

That’s to start with… so here we go!

How to Personalize your Website (Nutrinsider and Twitter)

First Impressions Count

I started with creating a Background for Nutrinsider and Twitter using Adobe Photoshop.

As said earlier, I had designed an attractive background I really liked much earlier and it immediately jumped into my mind when the background question came up. I was looking forward to using it!

However, there were 2 problems :

1. It was obviously not the right size – in fact it was 600 x 450 pix – and I needed 2000 x 1000. So I had to find a solution to that.

2. It was not the right colour – it had to blend in with our colour scheme. I had to solve that too…

No problem!

Resolutions and Screens

The only problem actually is that people don’t see the same thing when looking at a screen – depending on their resolution and many other factors. It’s very irritating for the designer bearing in mind that we want to create harmony and flow on the entire page for any visitor and viewer. I guess that many people are not even aware of that.

Additionally, my background had to fit in well not only on “Nutrinsider” (the Semiomantics NewsCast Script) but also on Twitter… and I just had a comparatively small picture.

Colours

Playing with colour and values (light and shadow) until the desired result is achieved is one of the most important and basic skills any artist needs to control – whether he mixes his own paints (as I did at the time…) or uses Graphic Computer Programs like Adobe Photoshop where there are unlimited possibilities to get the nuance or light you want where you want it – provided you know your tools.

It’s an Art one keeps refining through constant exercise and ‘doing’… like a pianist practices daily…. And yes, it needs a good eye, taste and the more experience the better. Practice… practice… paractice… but this is where the difference lies.

Personalize your Twitter

Sure, on Twitter you can “tile” – which was a possibility as the picture would just repeat itself like a pattern… but I did not design the picture for this purpose (there are even special programs to do this for say Textile Design). Also, I love to work with ‘free space’; I’ve done so since my childhood and it was often compared with Japanese Art. My Artwork needs to ‘breathe’… and PC screens need to be filled up ad infinitum as each sq inch of this “most expensive real estate in the world” has its price.

Reminder Madame: this was a’ job’, not about me, it was about fulfilling the demand within the timeframe… :)

I did not want to distort the original either as I just liked the variations of forms and shapes that I had carefully crafted a while ago. So my solution to the matter was a simple, yet a little time-consuming one: I arranged multiple copies of the same picture in a way that pleased me, merged them all into the requested format (2000 x 1000) and then I painted and smoothed and erased and layered like hell LOL… until it looked good.

Sure, one can spend days on refining things – however, it is also important to see what is essential – and here I had to deliver a good result within a very short period of time to satisfy the Client.

"Nutrinsider" - Twitter Design Demo by Bianca Gubalke

Optimize your Twitter

As you can see on the picture above (click it to see full size), I had measured the exact spaces where the background would be visible and where the Twitter Text would cover it.

The fat, blue NUTRINSIDER TITLE also had to be inserted in a way that not only I could see it but also people on Vista using wider screens – so I had to get feedback before resolving on the best solution “inbetween”.

Believe me, I do not like compromising when it comes to Art and Design… but here I have to bow to the Client’s demands… and this means the best possible solution for ALL viewers – meaning on big screens, medium screens, small screens… not to speak of iPods…

As you can see on the enlarged vision there is a vast difference between what I see on XP and a normal screen and someone on Vista… and as I discovered, my friend Zo Nicholas in the UK sees even less than I do.

Now that’s what I call a ‘squeeze’… but we solved it, didn’t we?

And I had Fun doing so… always being a step ahead in my imagination of what was to come next. . .

Twitter Personalized by Bianca Gubalke

See the current result below…

As you can devine from the above I am experimenting with some sexy additions that I will be showing on my TWITTER in due time… currently featuring my Twitter Design for Laetitia Paris (ZOOM TERRE).

If you click on the picture it brings you directly to the site with its increasing followership – join in if you wish!

"Nutrinsider" - Twitter Personalized by Bianca Gubalke

I will show you shortly how the Background fits perfectly into “Nutrinsider” as well.

Creating Web Graphics for Nutrinsider 5

So this part of the Job was resolved… which brought me to the next… and you will see why I started playing with the beautiful ‘Shape” that sneaked in on Twitter… as it all has to fit the Purpose… which is about the Joy of Living a Healthy Life, Activity, Vitality and … you know what I mean?

Any questions up to this point please simply comment.

I will soon be back showing you exactly how I did the next Web Graphics for “Nutrinsider”.

Creating Web Graphics for Nutrinsider 3 What is Nutrinsider about? The very first thing before starting out is the Briefing. In the Briefing the Client explains the context of the project, for who it is designed (target market) and what he expects from the illustrator or graphic artist. For the Artist it’s just as important to listen carefully to what exactly the Client says – even take quick notes – as it is to read inbetween the lines, to pick up the atmosphere, colour, rhythm etc. Observe HOW the Client expresses what, where he puts his emphasis and what he is passionate about or not.
What is Nutrinsider about?

The very first thing before starting out is the Briefing. In the Briefing the Client explains the context of the project, for who it is designed (target market) and what he expects from the illustrator or graphic artist.

For the Artist it’s just as important to listen carefully to what exactly the Client says – even take quick notes – as it is to read inbetween the lines, to pick up the atmosphere, colour, rhythm etc. Observe HOW the Client expresses what, where he puts his emphasis and what he is passionate about or not. Open up to your Intuition, ask all the questions that clarify your perception of what is being conveyed to you, get into some serious brainstorming if required and put together your version of the mosaique your Client projects in his formulations.

I love Briefings… as I know what explosive end-results can be triggered from these first and often tentative creative moments when the balls start rolling…

Personally and especially in the case of larger projects, I prefer to record these briefings as it frees me up to giving it all my full attention and free flow of thoughts without the fear of losing a point. I am just more relaxed if I know that I can always go back in case I feel I missed something important.

While I miss the fragrant coffees during Briefings and often a nice lunch afterwards with interesting people, I rarely enjoyed the trips and stress when getting stuck in the highway traffic. Being able to work from home via the PC and communicating with the other end of the world via VOIP – and this without make-up and high heels but MadMax purring on my lap – that’s totally amazing! That’s a Lifestyle I like!

So as you might be reading this for the first time, let me give you an idea about the context for Yorgo’s “90-Day Website Demo Blitz”.

Phase 1 – Introduction to the ‘Job’ - Briefing

I knew since a while that Yorgo was just waiting for the right time to show Distributors and Business Associates of big Multilevel Marketing Companies (MLM) – genre Herbalife – a better and more profitable way to build THEIR business under THEIR name (not the Company’s that they don’t own… and as is clearly stipulated in the Rules & Regulations). Building their business means on one side growing their Networks and Organizations (in other words the Business Opportunity) as well as the Retail side, i.e. the Sale of Products. Especially as he had been very successful with his approach back in 2002.

So how about doing YOUR Business – Marketing Herbalife – the right way Online in 2009?

And why pay more?

In his articles on “Marketing Herbalife on Twitter, Facebook and Google” he clearly explains how the times have changed from then to now – especially on the Internet. The most significant change was the immense increase in what Distributors are paying for Google Ads today… if compared with then, back in 2002.

So the solution today to be successful with your Herbalife or any other Business on the Internet is to be where People are looking for you, your business or your products (in terms of keywords) – which is on Google Top 10.

Ah! That’s where you already are … I hear you shout? I know! Google Ads… you pay heavily to appear on the right side of the screen – under ‘Paid Ads’ – where all your competitiors are, your uplines, downlines, sidelines… and you all fight against each other for Traffic… and this at a terrific cost… especially to those at the end of the MLM food chain.

But did you ever notice that there’s a left side as well?

What’s happening there? Too difficult… impossible you say? A Science for Search Engine Optimizers and spiffy Internet wizzards? You have no time for all that… Right? Well… I thought so myself years back, until I learned how to do it right… and I’ve managed top positions within less than 8 hours and this on over 400 if not 800 MILLION search returns. Little just me! An artist!

So can YOU get there too? Absolutely. . .

The question is do you WANT to get there? If so, read on… this is the story how and its living proof… although my part of it focuses on the Web Graphics, my ‘job’.

I just wanted you to see the context that I was already quite familiar with and that was part of my Briefing to understand who was being addressed and why.

Bottomline, this is how the Client sees it:

Nutrinsider for the Online Visitor

To the online visitor or reader… Nutrinsider will be a new site providing him with interesting and entertaining content in relation to the benefits of healthy nutrition, energy, antiaging and vitality. WithOUT any mentioning of brand names.

Nutrinsider for the Website Owner (Herbalife Distributor)

For the Nutrinsider Owner … this Blog is a Herbalife Marketing arm focused on getting his “…lead generator and product page in front of as many interested and ready to act people as possible, targeting the audience at Google, Twitter and Facebook to generate a growing number of sales and downline networkers in a streamlined and mostly automated way.”

A smart and perfectly duplicatible tool that, once set up correctly, will almost automatically build any Online Business, 24/7/365t… at a fraction of the cost.

Phase 2 – Execution of the ‘Job’ (Web Graphics Design)

Having gone through the Briefing, this was expected from me, the Graphic Designer, as a first phase:

~ To explore and discuss colours, fonts, spaces and positionings… and find a fast solution there and then together with the Client. Which we did…
~ From there to create an attractive but uncommercial background promoting a sense of activity and vitality. This background would be used for both the Nutrinsider and Twitter… and it would automatically set a certain ambience that would be picked up in other elements of the website. My job.
~ Elaborate a fat NUTRINSIDER title, which was done there and then. The Client did it himself… cool!
~ To decide on the various Categories following a Keyword Research on Google; which we did.
~ To create some sexy Ads that appeal to our instincts and why we really want to feel good and be fit and flexible even at 80 :) – withOUT showing any products or brands. My job.
~ To pull up some quick banners for the key categories, eg. Sports Nutrition, Antiaging. My job.

The Time for this?

What do you think?

Nutrinsider on track for “90-Day Website Demo Blitz”

In the good old days I would have gone home, thought about it all, made some sketches and then elaborated on the best version… always hoping that all would go well right through to the end, that the airbrush wouldn’t suddenly spit black splashes and I’d have to start all over again… and it would take a day, a week…

These days are over… and I thank whoever provided us with the gift of “Layers” (as in Photoshop) every single day!

Besides… online the clocks tick faster. The Briefing was after lunch and we worked some hours together on the job.

As of about 7 pm I was alone… and at midnight my job was done – at least in a way that we could look at it in the morning, do some adjustments and move into the next phase presto presto!

That’s all-in-all one long day, 10 hours.

BUT… yes there’s a ‘but’ that can make a large difference!
I had already designed and painted some of the graphic elements I used well before chosing to integrate them into this ‘job’.

Yes… as I work on improving my skills as a digital artist I continuously create and prepare original motives, backgrounds, people and all sorts of graphic elements that I can integrate into my ‘jobs’. It’s a good way to save time. As soon as I have my NIKON Coolpix P-90 I will add my own photos again… finally! All this saves a lot of time and gives you instant ideas for any ‘job’ you get.

Creating Web Graphics for Nutrinsider 4

I will explain more of this in my next post, where I will finally go right into the Web Graphics and the Personalization of the Website. I will show you exactly what I did and give you a lot of tips along the way.

Why do we need a Web Site or Blog?

When preparing and setting up a new Website or Blog the website owner needs to be very aware that there are two important criteria as to its future efficiency; efficiency here meaning in terms of…

~ building one’s Name Brand, Reputation and Authority within the Internet environment and/or

~ generating a maximum of Leads and Contacts for one’s Business (eg. team members, distributors and business partners in an MLM or Affiliate Program), or Customers for one’s Product range or Service line.

Clearly, the goal is always to make money online by either Selling one’s own product, other peoples’ products or advertising space – OR to build a large and performing Sales force to increase and leverage Productivity and generate a maximum of Sales. One way or the other, “Make Money Online” is the motto and it is a large target market as it’s what most people looking for “online business opportunities” try to do on the Internet.

That’s why they need a web site or – even better on todays dynamic web: a Blog.

And most people have one or the other, or both. However, the majority fails miserably when it comes to making money online, it just keeps going out… it never comes in – a one-way road and worse than ‘bottomless’.

So what’s the problem?

In a combined series of articles we will see exactly what’s going wrong and where and how to do it right. You will learn how you can turn your Blog into a profitable tool for your Business and generate income online.

Read on…

Why do we need a Web Graphic Design?

Coming back to what determines the efficiency of a Blog these are the 2 crucial criteria we have to consider :

1. Online Publishing – The Script

Online Publishing with a powerful Script of the Semiomantics Line for Excellence encompasses all that takes place ‘behind the scenes’, meaning mostly invisible for the visitor of this website, however highly important in terms of strategical structure and … visible for the greedy virtual creepy-crawlies that continuously spider the Internet web to suck in new information and process it: Search Engines – especially Google.

And increasingly Social Networks – like it or not, that’s where the fast-moving masses are, at least today.

2. The Design and Web Graphics

It’s the Design and the Web Graphics that a visitor sees when visiting the website. . . and, consciously or unconsciously, he will instantly be attracted or repulsed… and definitely the website or blog will be judged as to…

~ its attractiveness,
~ its personality, quality, style and ambience,
~ the way it talks and touches,
~ the website’s clarity and speed,
~ its search- and user-friendly navigation,
~ its interactivity and entertaining spirit,
~ its smart and unobtrusive magnets that keep the attention for a maximum of time and point and pull with razor-sharp precision to the targeted hooks that will ultimately leadi to the Optin Page or PayPal button.

There may be more factors, however, these immediately come to mind and very much correspond to traditional editorials, although online we have to grab the attention right away on the Homepage, i.e. on the valuable yet limited space of your screen (and all screens differ…). A normal magazine can operate more generously with ‘space’ on the cover – and many people have the reflex to immediately page through it from the back when picking it up – but this too has to be well planned due to the huge cost of offline publishing…. which speaks heavily for doing this online.

The point is, attracting and keeping the attention of visitors on a Blog through appealing Web Graphics and Digital Images is a Skill… and here as in any profession one needs to know the HOW.

Online Publishing for Nutrinsider

To demonstrate the exact basic requirements, preparations, planning and mechanisms of setting up a targeted Business Blog – step-by-step – and proove its efficiency in terms of Google Top 10 visibility and financial income generation if…. IF …. “Online Publishing” is done the right way, Yorgo Nestoridis has engaged in a “90-Day Website Demo Blitz” with his brand-new website “Nutrinsider” which focuses on Nutritional Supplements for Weightloss addicts, Fitness and Vitality freaks, Antiaging fans and all those who want to enjoy a healthy, sexy and fulfilling life right into their 80′s and beyond.

But more… being fed up with the sheepish way distributors and MLM adherents often promote what they are not… instead of themselves… and on top of it lose their money online instead of generating it by building their own business and reputation with a longterm vision and some dignity and pride glued to their names, he explains the exact path and process on how to exactly do it… and as he’s proven his success in the past as a Herbalife Distributor, he knows what he is talking about and all those who feel they deserve more for what they put in if only they knew how… my recommendation would be to follow the extremely blunt yet revelatory and mathematically anchored series of articles this expert in the field is currently publishing HERE.

TIP:

It’s an ideal Guideline for all those who are for instance Marketing Herbalife on Twitter, Facebook and Google – so don’t miss this vital information that may really mean a turnaround in your Herbalife (or any other)Business!

So where do I come in?

Creating Web Graphics for Nutrinsider

Very simple… I was contracted to deliver my Service as the Graphic Designer for Nutrinsider (on Semiomantics NewsCast), in other words to elaborate the graphic elements for “Nutrinsider” in function of the target and purpose of the framework. As will be seen it’s not a once-set-and-forget job… but an ongoing process and evolution. And of course it’s an honour, a challenge and an adventure for me – with a lot of experience to be gained while giving the “90-Day Website Demo Blitz” its colour, touch and sex appeal.

Accordingly and as a number of friendly comments – especially from my new Twitter Account – showed that there is quite some interest in learning more about the Digital Design and Web Graphics aspect of Online Publishing, especially also following the various Digital Graphics I’ve created for the websites of our Online Business partners in the past, I will attempt to provide you with my side and view of the developments in a series of articles on “Creating Web Graphics for Nutrinsider”.

To conclude this first introductory chapter, here as in most if not all Businesses and Projects it’s about Teamwork and Cooperation with ONE common Goal in mind, meaning an excellent and high-performing Product. At the end of the day, the Customer is King and wants to drive a Ferrari – he doesn’t care how the engine was put together or how the carborator works… he doesn’t even care who designed the form and created the unique colour and even the logo he’s so proud of…

All he wants is to live his dream and… drive it!

Criteria for Selecting a Graphic Designer for a Website

In my next post I will elaborate a bit on how an artist, graphic designer or illustrator is chosen for a specific ‘job’ – what counts most? What’s different on the Internet? And what does this teach us?

And how does it apply to my ‘job’ and its execution for “Nutrinsider”?

About Deadlines in online ‘Jobs’

On a final note for today… currently, there is no Internet connection. Well, if you get to this post it means it has just ‘happened’… I have no clue when.

I had my whole plan laid out for today, however, according to the ISP the server is down and should hopefully be fixed “this night”. “This night” is many hours wide… and I had no connection since lunch.

I have to live with it.

I mention this as this article was meant to go out long ago… and contrary to the ‘real’ life… especially when it comes to advertising and holding dead lines…, the Internet is unpredictable, volatile and totally imperfect. Even the best intentions can be shattered.

Don’t let this destroy you. Be flexible and immediately hop to another ‘job’ where you might not need an Internet connection… Or just enjoy fresh air in the garden or a golden sunset at the beach. Most importantly, adapt your mental attitude so you can live with it… even when you’re without it. The Internet I mean :)

It took me a long time… but it can be done :)

It all started with a Kick. . .
I’ve been following the evolution of “Global Sports US” on the unique Semiomantics Press Scripts with great interest and admiration.

Global Kicks on Google Top 10

On one hand, I observed with awe how the ingenious finetuning between what a Search Engine essentially picks up… and what a visitor to the site itself actually sees and reads… by none other than Internet wizzard Yorgo Nestoridis… ‘kicked out’ and very rapidly occupied Google Top 10 positions on so many keywords imagineable and of great relevance for the client (Global Sports, London UK).

On the other hand, I truly wish to see the valued friends and first online business customers of my long-term online business partner and friend Felisa Ryan from London (ex Philippines…) succeed!

‘Global Sports London’ have a sexy product for a vibrant, fast and i-motional market on the go - a product with a potential to reach out for the luxury level with the right Branding and Advertising.

Digital Advertising

Offline as online… in Advertising it’s the Visuals that count, the Artwork, the Creation… in other words the transportation of the Message via excellent Pictures, Images, Graphics… Art – and of course all this in combination with a good and memorable Slogan. Their quality, expression and meaningfulness as regards the target audience make or break an advertising campaign. . . which is nothing but a powerful way to show with vigour and continued intensity what is being offered, what wants to find lovers, addicts, collectors – i.e. buyers. Ideally, tons of them! It’s a wise investment; otherwise large companies wouldn’t allocate the immense annual advertising budgets they do, year after year.

Here, ‘KICKS’ and ‘SNEAKERS’ are our product – so Ads are crucial! Clearly, they should be on the constant move just as the ‘sneaker runners’, ‘cool-kicksters’ and potential customers are: on-line and on-ipod… anything that enhances fast reactions… spontaneous, irrational behaviour… in a wild world where ‘Today’ is the Trend – from London to New York, from Shanghai to Dubai, from Cool to Glam, from Kick to. . . Kick!

Digital Artwork in Development

The Nike Air Max Swarovski Custom Sneakers are fun and there are certain aspects that inspired my creative muscle to develop a series of ads starting off with nothing but a . . . kick!

Well, when receiving the ‘best picture’ of a kick on Saturday I wasn’t too impressed as with its tinted background it meant additional work… tedious work… to cut the kick out with precision… and doing that with a mouse is not easy (. . . and here I have News … something exciting for my next post, wait for it!!! Nothing beats professional equipment – online as offline… hint! hint!)…

Besides, I had no proper logo to use – meaning on a transparent background… MORE work! I took all this as part of my “…technical fulfillment learning curve…” LOL…. and after a while, I had something to start off with and that looked acceptable on black or white or any background for that matter… as was published HERE.

Now I had material to work with and play on my digital instruments and imagination… from Art to Psychedelic to Glam to… Cool and the Beast :)

Some excerpts of the Artwork in development. . .

Global Kick Artwork

The above excerpt of ‘ad stages’ shows an evolution until the version below. It’s one particular direction – and each picture contains a world of others and it may grab me and I just continue… especially as there was a special request and I ‘saw’ the next one immediately in my mind… so for me that’s pretty ‘irresistible’ :)

Global Art by Bianca Gubalke

As you see… I am getting my personal Kick out of Cool Kicks… and “Kick Art” is my artistic expression!!!

To be continued. . .

PS: Yes. . . the original are much bigger than on this display… and pretty sharp :)))

One thing we can certainly say about our era of explosive and uncontrollable distribution of information and knowledge through modern high-tech communication technologies and channels via the Internet - is that it’s gone ‘digital’.
And this is only the beginning.

Digital Advertising Online to grow by 8,6%

Not surprisingly, the only real highlight at the renowned Cannes Lions 2009 Advertising Festival in France… besides the significance of China as an emerging market and the promotion of “green” technologies… was without any question Digital Advertising Online.

In a year that is expected to be problematic and financially critical by many experts – with the global advertising market to fall by 6.9 % -, the prognosis for Digital Advertising is brilliant: a whopping 8.6% growth… depending to a large extent on developments in China.

YORGOO Booster Ad by Bianca Gubalke

Digital Spending to ‘stay strong’

When questioned about the impact of the recession in the US, Google CEO Eric Schmidt said he was optimistic for 2010 and that digital spending would stay strong.

If we think that an industry giant like McDonald’s spends on average 7% on digital advertising – and this with a rising tendency – this reflects on the opportunity for online marketers and business entrepreneurs to grab a piece of the advertising market share to earn a living from in the future.

Digital Advertising and Semiomantics

Advertising – offline and online – always had to be ahead of trends if not setting them. Here time and a fine sensor and feeling for what the people, the audience, the potential customer wanted and how they wanted it have always been of the essence – often born from grassroots and original artistic expression, be it in music, movies, dance or fashion etc.

Watching the Cannes Lions Festival advertising reels was always an exciting and psychologically interesting and instructive journey through the year covered, while casting ahead a shadow of what was to – possibly – come.

As such, Digital Advertising is a process of continued research to find the right pulse of the time, the hot spot where people are reachable and touchable… and most importantly, Ads need to reach their target audience, jumping into their eyes and creating the desired CLICK HERE NOW impulse – before being hijacked by the next distraction and virtual destination.

This means that attractive onlinel ads need to be visible on Google Top 10 positions – and this does not really depend on excellent ads nor on good content – but on other factors, skills, strategies, techniques and. . . an aggressively tuned Script, genre Semiomantics as well as the brand-new and soon to be launched Booster.

Ceguna.com on YORGOO Booster

YCADEMY Online Business Building Seminars

The good news is that while this is no easy path… it can be learned – as the past Ycademy Seminars have shown and “. . . as seen on Google” – in other words the simple yet undisputable proof.

“YORGOO Booster is a Great Tool for generating Income” ~ Ceguna.com, NY, USA

“Great for business, great product, customer satisfaction!” taxmart.com, Alabama, USA

“YORGOO Booster is amazing, astonishing, easy and fun ! TOUS DERRIERE !”
photozcool.com, France

YCADEMY Online Business Building Seminars

The good news is that while this is no easy path… it can be learned – as the past Ycademy Seminars have shown and “. . . as seen on Google” – the proof.

And the other good news is that the Internet has levelled out the playing fields – meaning that in the Google Top 10 challenge the Davids get a chance to win the Formula 1 of the virtual highway… and that’s what the whole game is all about – isn’t it?!

TIME FOR CHANGE. . .

Ycademy June 2009 Seminar

WOW! If Day 1 of this year’s smashing YCADEMY Online Business Building Seminar is anything to go by, then each Seminar participant will be equipped with yet another incredibly powerful – meaning Google TOP 10 ranking efficient – tool… if not arm… by Sunday night!

YORGOO Booster Ad created by Bianca Gubalke

YORGOO Blasters and YORGOO Boosters

Just like the ‘YORGOO Blasters’, the ‘YORGOO Boosters’ are so-called “set and forget” devices.

Typical AdSense Pay per Click advertising is ideal…. as well as Hot Offers where people cannot resist the temptation of wanting to find out more through attractive and captivating Ads – that’s the power of this genre of Semiomantics Scripts.

Work From Home via your PC

So what is needed to get ready for the Beach and let the Internet work for you in a more or less automatic way… the typical slogan that is so often announced especially in distributor ads from MLM companies like Herbalife?

Here’s the MODEL:

1. You need a Product to Sell

The easiest products to put on automation are products purchasers can download or products where the fulfillment can be completely automated or out-sourced.

Ideal products are Digital Products and Affiliate Products.
If you use physical products which need to be shipped, you must take care of organizing your fulfillment while
being at the beach.

2. You need a web site to promote the product

I suggest YORGOO Booster!

YORGOO Booster is an alternative to YORGOO Blaster and the ideal carrier for your Message in a highly provocative and visible way to where people are looking for it: on TOP 10 of Google. Proven and effective.

3. Shopping Cart

A shopping cart is needed for your own products only.

Affiliate Products will be sold off the merchant’s site.

4. Product Delivery System

The focus is on delivery by Download and on out-sourced delivery for esp. affiliate programs.

5. Customer Service

Ideally, focus on products where no or only minimal input is required.

YORGOO Booster Ad by Bianca Gubalke

That’s the basic setup. . . and it’s amazing and fantastic to see how all Seminar participants who followed the “Path to Profitability” conscienciously over the past years are now in a position to swiftly follow the technical instructions and get tangible results!

There’s no better investment than in ourselves – once the technique is in the blood, improvisation and the REAL dance are starting… and this is when the “Beach” comes to our homes and into our hearts as we thoroughly enjoy what we do AND we reap the benefits and steady financial growth.

We are looking forward to tomorrow’s Training with great anticipation and we close the day with gratitude to our extraordinary teacher, Internet wizzard Yorgo Nestoridis!

THANK YOU!

YORGOO Booster TOP 10 – As seen on Google!

Noordhoek Community

What characterizes Noordhoek is not only its vibrant community of Nature lovers, artists, musicians, writers, scientists and ecologically aware people – many of which have lived in other countries and continents for years if not decades like myself … which indicates an open-mindedness and a love to travel, learn and discover – but also a “low-profile” approach with lots of compassion, generosity and support within the community.

Noordhoek Social Networking

The “Noordhoek Project” where Noordhoekers are connected to Noordhoekers via the virtual highway has been on my mind for a while… as something precious and special that needed to be done in the right way… possibly also because I am part of it and there are so many absolutely lovable people.

With YORGOO Media the time may have come to realize such a complex and ambitious project where the unique Noordhoek Community Spirit is enhanced, respected and protected by Noordhoekers for Noordhoekers – without dominance from outside.

When discussing the ‘Noordhoek Social Networking’ aspect of this project this morning with Yorgo, we compared its basic principles to Social Network giant Facebook.

You might ask: “Why a Noordhoek Media Network if everyone is anyway on Facebook?”

Noordhoek on Google

Good question!

The answer is simple and Noordhoek free spirits will love it: YOUR Freedom and Independance!

Let me explain:

While Facebook offers some great features and is an interesting socializing platform if used correctly – as for instance demonstrated in the presidential campaign of Barack Obama – the fact is that Facebook is big business. So. . .

Firstly, Facebook works for Facebook! Don’t forget, to have a look at anything you are required to sign up: hopp… into the Facebook pool… and once your name is registered and possibly you write some great content, Facebook grows and so does its market value… and because Facebook is obviously stronger than you are, you may lose your top rankings on Google to it. Think about it: there are only 10 positions on the left side of Google page one…

Rather be in control of your name and your keywords!

Secondly, on Facebook you are within a completely enclosed environment as regards Google – meaning that everything you publish within Facebook will never help you to improve your Google ranking – which is your top priority when working from home and conducting any sort of business online.

Now here’s the good news and the big difference:

While it’s still in the development and testing phase, the fact is that whatever you publish on your YORGOO Media Blog helps you to make it to the top on Google! Plus and besides the priceless advantages and benefits of being part of the unbeatable YORGOO Publishing Network, it gives you the Social Network aspect from BuddyPress (WordPress) … and soon VideoPress – just wait for it.

Noordhoek Property

Position – position – position!

Just as the position of a plot or any sort of land property is of crucial importance in Real Estate, your position on Google counts – preferably on page one… as that’s where people look when they punch in a keyword – for instance the search term “Noordhoek Real Estate“. This is where your Blog or website must come up – the only alternative being Google Ads.

A much more costly alternative as you will realize when you compare it with a free YORGOO Media Blog tuned by Semiomantics. We provided many examples in the past – like for our client Global Sports US – more to come in the future.

Noordhoek Business

People in the Noordhoek valley are multi-talented and inventive… and if the Noordhoek Blog Farm appeals, takes off and has firmly rooted within the Community, it will continuously and organically grow via personal contacts and connections, meaning person to person, family to family, young and old around the world – away from the hype and shallowness that unfortunately accompany the dark side of the Internet.

'Noordhoek Beach' by Bianca Gubalke

Noordhoek Beach

People in Noordhoek love a gentle country lifestyle with lots of freedom and fresh air… and while Business is one thing, there’s always time for a walk on the wild side… a walk on the Beach …

More soon… the Noordhoek Blog Farm is in the making!
