Web Design on Facebook
Back online after severe server problems… plus harsh connectivity problems until next week due to the Soccer World Cup down here in South Africa, let me republish the last article that was lost within the ‘rollback’ on 3 July 2010:
On the Internet, never take for granted that others see what you see on your screen!
I got my lesson when several people looked at my “Best Look” Web Design on Facebook – the cover page I published recently – the direct Link being right under the new button below … and could hardly see the writing.
To this day, I haven’t discovered yet why… as I had worked on this hand-written item via my WACOM tablet and it showed in smashing colours on my screen… Well, i decided to say good-bye to it and now I used one of my preferred fonts and added a button – and I expect everyone to see it! Please click the button below and see where it takes you!
Web Design on Facebook
Web Design on Facebook is well hidden as a tab, actually, it’s invisible… until you have a couple of friends who like what you show and demonstrate this by clicking on “I like”.
Accordingly, what Facebook shows when you start off is what is in Facebook’s interest: the Wall… the Info… mainly. Definitely not your finely designed Pages. These only appear like deus ex machina once you have a certain amount of friends who clicked on some “I Like” which appears either to the right of the top left Header Logo (Best Look” in my case), or within the posts. On a new site you may not even find it :)
Once we can show what we want to show people who visit our Facebook, we start working for ourselves. As a business-oriented person or when working for our clients this should be goal number one – so everyone should work together and see to it that we empower each other to be in control of our individual Facebook identities.
Visual Communication on Facebook on Google
We keep monitoring our website publishing results and here is the screenshot of where my article “Visual Communication on Facebook” went on Google Top 10 within a few hours only – please click on the (compressed) image for better viewing:
Just another smashing result with Semiomantics Web Design and knowledgeable Website Editing and regular Website Publishing.
